I began fishing with the use of game poles around 7 years ago in karratha with friends. No matter which boat or type of poles we used I found there were some simple problems with the mainstream base and pole sets around. From pinching your skin when setting to be just down right hard to use. So i set about designing and making my own. We ended up with two types of bases, one being the version i made and the other being the reelax three position screw down type. I decided to make the entry level sets based on the light tackle, limited use sets to keep the price under $1000.00 per set.
